In light of the growing importance of internationalising the Extremadura science and technology ecosystem for regional development, the OPE-SECTI office is organising this workshop specifically for project consultancies in Extremadura. The aim is to explore collaborative synergies between these consultancies and regional knowledge centres within the framework of Horizon Europe, the European Union’s most ambitious research and innovation programme.
This event takes place in a context of transformation and modernisation, where regions seek to enhance their innovation capacity through collaboration between research centres and businesses.
The workshop is designed as a meeting and dialogue space, where the main funding lines available under Horizon Europe will be presented, along with the specialisations and strengths of the region’s research centres and participating consultancies. These will be showcased in a dynamic pitching session. Furthermore, the event will aim to identify barriers consultancies may face in offering support services for these projects, with the goal of designing strategies that facilitate interaction between the regional innovation ecosystem and the European context.
By the end of the workshop, attendees are expected to have tools and knowledge that will allow them to expand or deepen their services related to Horizon Europe, ultimately contributing to the advancement of research and innovation in the Extremadura region. All entities attending must participate in the pitching session, for which a template will be provided upon registration. Each entity will have 3 minutes to present themselves.
The active participation of consultancies in this process is crucial, not only to access funding but also to foster the creation of collaborative networks that benefit the entire community. This workshop is expected to be a significant step toward greater integration and success in Extremadura’s participation in European projects.
This workshop will take place on 14 November at the University Research Institutes on the Badajoz campus.
