First Workshop on European Research Updates Relevant to Extremadura 🔎🌍
On 26 September, the European Projects Office (OPE-SECTI), in collaboration with INTROMAC, held the first workshop dedicated to European research updates of interest to Extremadura, marking the 25th anniversary of this institution. The event brought together key R&I stakeholders from the region to enhance Extremadura’s global positioning in research and innovation.
The workshop featured presentations on new opportunities for regional entities within the framework of Horizon Europe Partnerships, as well as sessions on tools and strategies for managing European projects and coordinating international consortia. These topics were chosen in response to feedback gathered from SECTI management teams during prior consultations.
Additionally, the event served as the launch of OPE-SECTI’s new website, a key resource for the TEC-IDI group and the entire research community in the region. This workshop underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration and aligning regional research efforts with international programmes, consolidating Extremadura’s capacity to address global R&I challenges.
Funding: This activity was funded by the General Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation and the University of the Regional Government of Extremadura, along with 80% co-financing from the FEDER Extremadura Programme 2021–2027, and managed by FUNDECYT Science and Technology Park of Extremadura within the R&I Internationalisation Initiative.
