The Agroecology Partnership, funded by Horizon Europe, unites the European Commission and 72 partners across 26 Member States, Associated Countries, and Third Countries will support an agriculture sector that is fit to meet the targets and challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, food security and sovereignty, and the environment, while ensuring a profitable and attractive activity for farmers. The Partnership in particular pools the resources of the EC and the states involved to fund high-level research generating appropriate knowledge and technologies aligned with the core themes described below and in the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda.
This call focuses on the performance of agroecology, under different aspects: evaluating this performance in its various dimensions, quantifying environmental impacts, transforming value chains, and contributing to the design of public policies to better support the transition.
Topic 1: Determine and assess benefits/impacts and trade-offs of agroecology, and identify best practices
Topic 2: Transform value chains, business models and policies to facilitate the transition to agroecology
The preliminary list of countries participating in this call is as follows: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Ireland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Slovakia, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain
Requirements:Universities and other higher education institutions, public research institutions, non-profit and for-profit organisations, consumers/citizens, civil society representatives, private companies, and living labs with legal personality.
Criteria:Participation is subject to the specific regulations of the funding body.
Applicant consortia must include at least three eligible partners applying for funding from at least three different countries contributing to the call.
