BiodivTransform will fund interdisciplinary projects to address the interrelations between biodiversity loss, climate change, and pollution. Projects must generate knowledge to protect biodiversity and ecosystems, promoting transformative changes with academic, social, and political impact. The call is open to all environments and ecosystems, without geographical restrictions, and includes transitional areas such as coastal zones, wetlands, urban-rural, and agroforestry regions.
Expected Scope:Research projects aimed at understanding and promoting transformative processes to mitigate and reverse threats to biodiversity in various environments.
Requirements:To be eligible, research consortia must include teams from at least three countries, including at least two from EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries.
Criteria:Proposals will be evaluated in two stages by independent experts. In the first stage, the criteria are: alignment with the scope of the call, State-of-the-art approach, and impact. In the second stage, the criteria include: scientific excellence, quality and efficiency of implementation, and impact (social and political, and stakeholder engagement). Projects must be transnational, inter- and transdisciplinary, with a holistic approach. Detailed criteria will be published in September.
