ARTROPHODS AND VECTOR-BORNE DISEASES RESEARCH GROUP
- WHO WE ARE:
We are a versatile group of 15 scientists and professionals dedicated to animal and human medicine as well as the study of the environment, always working from a One Health perspective.
Our group has extensive experience in surveillance of arthropod vectors of diseases and detection and assessmentof risk factors for emerging arboviruses and parasitosis.
- WHAT WE OFFER:
We make use of modern molecular and serological techniques to investigate and provide adequateknowledge to combat the global threat of vectorborne pathogens such as west Nile, Usutu,phlebovirus, and Leishmaniosis.
We have an insectarium where tests and trials can becarried out with disease-carrying mosquitoes.
