UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH IN EXTREMADURA (INUBE)
- WHO WE ARE:
INUBE integrates the high quality research groups dedicated to health in the region of Extremadura (Spain). It is made up of researchers from different institutions: the University of Extremadura and the Regional Ministry of Health and Social Politics,whose main actor is the Extremadura Health Service (SES). Within INUBE, Medicine Personalize Research Unit want to applied the knowledge in Medicine Personalize in all populations around the world, regardless the dominant genetics.
- WHAT WE OFFER:
Our innovation is based on two aspects. In the first place, since the pharmacogenetic analysis of Europe cannot be extrapolated to other vulnerable populations (such as Latin America), it is necessary to investigate
which genes could predict the response to drugs in these populations; and secondly, to be able to implement the individualized prescription tool in their health systems. The INUBE - Personalized Medicine Research Unit is one of the Research Areas in our Institute. Thanks to this Research Unit, INUBE works with RIBEF (Iberoamerican Network of Pharmacogenetics).
